
Chicken Tikka Masala

Ingredients
- 400g boneless chicken
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste (for tikka)
- 2 tsp chili powder (for tikka)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder (for tikka)
- 1 tsp coriander powder (for tikka)
- 1 tsp garam masala (for tikka)
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/2 onion
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste (for masala)
- 3/4 cup tomato puree
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tsp chili powder (for masala)
- 1 tsp garam masala (for masala)
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder (for masala)
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder (for masala)
- 3/4 cup water
- 3 tbsp cooking cream or fresh cream
- Fresh coriander leaves
Before you cook
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces
- Mix chicken with ginger garlic paste, chili powder, paprika, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, yogurt, lemon juice, and salt
- Marinate chicken for at least 20 minutes
- Dice the onion
Steps
- Air fry marinated chicken at 200°C for 25 minutes
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat
- Add diced onion and sauté until golden
- Add ginger garlic paste and cook for 1 minute
- Add tomato puree and tomato paste and stir to combine
- Add chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt
- Cook the masala until oil separates
- Add water and stir, then simmer for 5 minutes
- Add the air-fried chicken tikka and mix well
- Stir in cream and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve
