Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- Pinch of black pepper
Before you cook
- Crack each egg into a separate small cup.
Steps
- Set a nonstick skillet over medium heat and let it warm for 90 seconds.
- Melt the butter and tilt the pan so it coats the surface evenly.
- Slide the eggs in and cook them for 2 to 3 minutes, until the whites are completely opaque and firm at the edges.
- Season the whites with the salt and pepper.
- Flip each egg gently with a thin spatula.
- Cook the second side for 60 to 75 seconds, until the yolk feels soft but springy when you touch it with a fingertip.
- Plate the eggs flipped side down so the yolks show.
