Ingredients
- 3 large ripe tomatoes, diced
- 1 large red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 fresh chili, finely chopped, seeds removed
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 2 limes, juiced
- salt, to taste
Before you cook
- Soak the sliced onion in a bowl of warm, lightly salted water for 8 minutes, then drain well.
- Dice the tomatoes and finely chop the chili and cilantro.
Steps
- Combine the drained onion, tomatoes, chili, and cilantro in a bowl.
- Season with salt.
- Squeeze the lime juice over the salad just before serving.
- Toss gently and serve immediately.
