By accessing or using Sue Chef (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Sue Chef. If you are under the age of majority in your location, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@asksuechef.com if you suspect unauthorized use. You may not share your account or use someone else's account without permission.
Sue Chef helps you save, organize, and cook recipes hands-free using voice guidance and an AI assistant. Features may include recipe parsing from text, links, or email, an AI assistant ("Sue"), timers, meal planning, collections, grocery lists, and a community area for public recipes. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
You keep ownership of the recipes and content you add to Sue Chef ("Your Content"). By adding content, you grant Sue Chef a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, display, and use Your Content as needed to operate and improve the Service — for example, to parse a recipe, read it aloud, or, if you choose to make it public, show it to other users.
You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the right to share it. Do not upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or violates these Terms.
If you choose to make a recipe public, it may be visible to other users, appear in the community Explore area, be shared via link, and be indexed by search engines. You can make recipes private again, though cached or shared copies may persist for a time. Recipes imported into the community library from third-party recipe databases remain subject to those sources' licensing and attribution requirements.
When using Sue Chef, you agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Sue Chef uses AI to parse recipes, answer cooking questions, and estimate information such as nutrition, cooking times, and difficulty. This information is provided for convenience and may contain errors or inaccuracies. Always use your own judgment when cooking — especially regarding food safety, allergens, ingredient substitutions, and cooking temperatures. Sue Chef is not a substitute for professional dietary, medical, or food-safety advice. If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, verify ingredients yourself.
Sue Chef may offer paid subscriptions or premium features in the future. If you purchase a paid plan, the pricing, billing cycle, and cancellation terms will be presented to you at the time of purchase, and additional payment terms may apply. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law.
Recipes and content may originate from or link to third-party sources. Sue Chef does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, websites, or services, and their inclusion does not imply endorsement.
The Sue Chef name, logo, design, software, and other materials we provide are owned by Sue Chef and protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the Service except as allowed by these Terms or applicable law.
You may stop using Sue Chef and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses already granted, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
Sue Chef is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that any information (including AI-generated content) will be accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sue Chef and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sue Chef and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or the law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Sue Chef's operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any disputes will be handled in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of Sue Chef after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
